The Bolivian government invests in ethanol to improve the quality of gasoline. From mid-October, service stations will begin to commercialize Super Ethanol 92 fuel with gasoline and ethanol.
The new fuel was officially created on September 15 with the signing of the Law on Additives of Plant Origin, implemented with the objective of gradually reducing the import of gasoline and diesel.
The 92 of the Super Ethanol indicates that, with it, the gas happens to have 92 octanas*, of better quality and greater yield. With the new product, the engines tend to work less, the life of the vehicle increases with the use of less gasoline.

"This project will allow the revitalization of the sector and the economy in general, by generating 15 thousand direct jobs at least 12 thousand indirect, thus contributing to the reduction of unemployment by 0.8 percentage point," says Luiz Fernando Barbery Paz, president of the sugar-energy company Ingenio Agroindustrial de Cañeros S / A (Unagro), with production unit in Santa Cruz.
Law 303 / 2017-2018, signed on September 15 by the president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Evo Morales, focuses on the gradual reduction of imports of fossil fuels and aims to use excess ethanol in the production of sugar and ethanol to process it and to obtain anhydrous, to be used as an additive for the production of higher yield gasoline.

In a press report from Bolivia, Susy Dorado, manager of the Bolivian Association of Suppliers (Asosur), said that the new fuel will be commercialized from October 15.
The amount of the mixture depends on the Government's rule that should be released later this week, although the trend is to add 12% of anhydrous to gasoline.

* Octane: Octane is the measure of resistance of the fuel to the pressure it undergoes within the combustion chamber of the engine.
